San Francisco, CA Carnaval

San Francisco's annual Carnaval Festival and Grand Parade takes over the Mission District during Memorial Day weekend.  There will be food, music, dance, arts & crafts and other fun-filled activities and events for everyone to participate in and enjoy!

This festival started over 30 years ago by a group of local artists, performers and residents that wanted to bring the Caribbean and Latin festival flavor to the Bay Area and Mission District.  It is a full out cultural celebration lasting 2 days, complete with masqueraders in dazzling costumes, live performances and vendors selling their fare.  This year's festival will include Ninolandia - a special area just for kids; Zona Verde - Eco Green Village; and a Health Pavillion; 2 main stages, featuring live performances.
